BREAKING: Sports Legend Found Dead – Please Pray

The football world is in mourning this week after former Philadelphia Eagles coach Marion Campbell died last Wednesday in Plano, Texas. He was 87 years-old.

According to The New York Times, Campbell played on the Eagles from 1956-1961 during which time the team won their last NFL championship to date. Nicknamed Swamp Fox, Campbell served as the Eagles’ defensive coordinator under Dick Vermeil from 1977 to 1982 and head coach from 1983 to 1985, winning 17 games. In addition, he coached the Atlanta Falcons on two occasions, from 1974 to 1976 and again from 1987 to 1989.

However, Campbell’s heart was always with the Eagles.

“Like Chuck Bednarik, he was a great two-way player during a special era in N.F.L. history,” the Eagles’ owner, Jeffrey Lurie, said in a statement. “He played with the type of toughness that our town so deeply admires.”

Rest in peace, Marion Campbell!
