A devistating failure for US Republicans occurred late Friday night when the Senate voted 49-to-51 to reject the Republican’s slimmed down plan to repeal the Affordable Care Act.
The vote came down to the wire, and in a surprising turn of events, John McCain and two other moderate Republicans voted with the Democrats to oppose the legislation.
“This was a disappointment, a disappointment indeed,” said, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell “I regret that our efforts were simply not enough this time.”
Trump was not happy either and vented on Twitter.
3 Republicans and 48 Democrats let the American people down. As I said from the beginning, let ObamaCare implode, then deal. Watch!

While documentary filmmaker Michael More responded:
Republicans crash and burn. Thousands of lives saved. The only fix to Obamacare now is to make it single-payer Medicare for All.

Looks like we are safe, for now.
