Hillary Clinton is set to kick off the week of the Democratic National Convention on Saturday by announcing her running mate during a rally in Florida. Today, Sean Hannity revealed that his sources has confirmed Clinton’s Vice President, and her choice may surprise you.
According to Conservative Tribune, Clinton has picked Virginia Sen. Tim Kaine as her running mate in a move that at least one liberal group called “disastrous.”
“Before winning Virginia’s Senate seat in 2013, Kaine served as Virginia’s governor and lieutenant governor. Prior to moving into state politics, Kaine was the mayor of the city of Richmond,” Hannity.com reported. “Although Sen. Kaine is considered by many to have a solid liberal voting record, some consider him too moderate to satisfy the far-left wing of the Democrat Party. One group even called a potential Kaine pick ‘disastrous.’”
The Hill reported that this group is Democracy for America, a liberal organization that originally endorsed Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders.
“Making Sen. Tim Kaine our vice presidential candidate could be potentially disastrous for our efforts to defeat Donald Trump this fall,” said Charles Chamberlain, executive director of Democracy for America.
Chamberlain went on to site Kaine’s support for bank deregulation and his vote for the “job-killing Trans-Pacific Partnership” as reasons why this is a bad choice for Clinton.
